The main function of the welding station heat gun

It is used to disassemble the patch chip, which is the main function of the heat gun on the soldering station. The heat gun is a tool that uses the hot air blown out of the gun core of the heating resistance wire to solder and remove components.

When it is necessary to replace a packaged chip such as BGA/LQFP, a sharp-nosed or knife-edge soldering iron will not come in handy. Of course, except for experienced electricians, they have no problem using LQFP packaged devices and quick disassembly with a knife-edge soldering iron.

The heat gun has become a magic weapon. A heat gun and a pair of tweezers can quickly complete the disassembly without the risk of damaging the pad.

The second practical function of the heat gun is to quickly solder SMD components.

Use a soldering iron to apply a thin layer of tin on the pad to be soldered, then clamp the component with tweezers, place it in the corresponding position, and heat it with a heat gun to quickly solder the circuit board. It is generally best to use a small mouth heat gun.

In the process of using the electric soldering iron, you must develop good usage habits. After using the electric soldering iron every time, turn off the power or adjust the temperature to the lowest level to prevent the soldering iron tip from being oxidized and tinned.

Generally, there is flux in the tin wire. When there is no flux such as rosin, you can use tin wire to melt the soldering iron around to protect the use of the soldering iron tip.

Soldering station introduction

A soldering station is a hand tool commonly used in electronic soldering processes. It melts two workpieces by applying heat to the solder (usually tin wire).

At present, in order to protect the environment, countries have banned the use of lead-containing solder wires, which increases the soldering temperature, because the melting point of lead-free tin wires is higher than that of lead-tin wires. There are higher requirements for temperature compensation, temperature rise and temperature return speed of soldering stations. Temperature rise and temperature return speed are an important indicator to determine production efficiency, so choosing a good soldering station depends on its temperature control ability. This is the huge gap with the traditional soldering iron.

There are many ways to control the temperature, but the simplest one is the adjustable power control. The soldering station controls the temperature by quickly transferring heat to the workpiece through the soldering iron. Another method is to use a thermostat to control the temperature by turning the power on or off. There is also a more advanced solution, which uses an integrated chip to detect the temperature of the soldering iron tip, and then adjusts the power of the thermostat to control the temperature. When the temperature of the soldering iron tip is lower than the set temperature, the host is turned on and supplies power to the thermostat to generate heat. When the temperature of the soldering iron tip is higher than the preset temperature, the host is turned off and stops heating.
