The method of dealing with the burning of the soldering iron tip and the maintenance method of preventing the burning of the soldering iron tip
1. Make sure there is always solder on the tip of the soldering iron.
2. If it is burnt to death, you can scrape the tip of the soldering iron with the sharp part after breaking it with a hacksaw blade. When the temperature of the soldering iron is not very high, first coat the tip of the soldering iron with tin, and then it will be easy to use.
3. Note that the tip of the soldering iron cannot be filed with a file.
Maintenance methods to prevent the soldering iron tip from "burning to death":
The tip of the soldering iron must be heated before each soldering, and it must also be "empty-heated" between soldering, so that an oxide layer appears on the surface of the solder remaining on the tip of the soldering iron. In addition, residual flux (such as rosin or petroleum jelly, etc.) will also become carbon deposits and dirt attached to the surface of the soldering iron tip. If not removed, they will be mixed into the solder during the welding process, resulting in reduced mechanical strength, electrical contact performance and smoothness of the welding, directly affecting the welding quality. In order to ensure the quality of the soldering, it is necessary to use a cleaning block to wipe off the dirt before melting the solder.
First let the cleaning block absorb enough water, squeeze some out with your hands, and retain about 70% of the water. Wipe the heated tip of the soldering iron on the cleaning block twice with the handle of the soldering iron in hand, the tin layer on it will be as bright as new, and the tip of the soldering iron will be clean, and the next step is to carry out welding. If you don't have ready-made cleaning blocks, you can use medium-to-high-density sponges instead, or even folded napkins into small pieces. Remember to soak it with water before use. Although the cleaning block is small, it plays an important role in the welding quality.
Precautions:
1. Use sandpaper to beat the tin surface of the copper, after cleaning it, stick some rosin to eat the tin.
2. The internal heating electric soldering iron should not be energized for a long time, it is very easy to burn to death, and the power will be cut off for a while when not in use. In addition, the high power of the electric soldering iron core will easily burn to death.
3. Push the copper head of the soldering iron to the end to lower the temperature, so that it is not easy to burn to death.
