The structure of clamp ammeter

Clamp meters are usually used as AC ammeters, and there is a clamp head on the meter head. When measuring current, the clamp meter does not need to be connected to the circuit to be tested, just pass the power supply wire (only one) through the jaws, The current can be measured directly.

It is mainly composed of clamp head, clamp trigger, hold button, function knob, LCD screen, test lead jack and two red and black test leads. The clamp head is used to clamp the wire to measure the current, and the red and black test leads are mainly used to connect the clamp meter to measure the resistance and voltage.

Clamp head is mainly used to clamp the wire under test when measuring AC current, and use the principle of current transformer to sense the wire current.

The pliers trigger is mainly used to open and close the pliers. When pressed, the pliers open and when released, the pliers close.

The hold button is mainly used to hold the measured data when testing the electronic circuit, so as to facilitate reading the recorded data.

The function knob is mainly aimed at the multi-purpose feature of the clamp meter, and sets the corresponding range for different tests.

The liquid crystal display is mainly used to display information such as test data, data unit, and selected range.

The test lead socket is mainly used to connect the lead plug of the test lead and the insulation test accessories. Connect the red test lead to the VΩ jack, and the black test lead to the ground terminal.

The clamp AC ammeter is essentially composed of a current transformer and a rectifier instrument. The current-carrying wire to be measured is equivalent to the original winding of the current transformer, and the secondary winding of the current transformer is on the iron core. , the secondary winding is connected to the instrument of the rectification system. According to a certain proportional relationship between the primary and secondary windings of the current transformer, the rectifier instrument can display the current value of the measured line.

The clamp AC-DC meter is an electromagnetic system instrument. The measured current-carrying wire placed in the jaw acts as an excitation coil, and the magnetic flux forms a loop in the iron core. Deflect, get a reading. Because the deflection is not affected by the measurement current, it can measure AC and DC currents.
