The clamp meter is usually used as an AC ammeter, and there is a clamp head on the meter head. When measuring the current, the clamp meter does not need to be connected to the circuit to be measured, just pass the power supply wire (only one) through the jaw, The current measurement can be performed directly.

It is mainly composed of clamp head, clamp head trigger, hold button, function knob, LCD screen, test pen jack, red and black test pens and other parts. The clamp head is used to clamp the wire to measure the current, and the red test lead and the black test lead are mainly used to connect the clamp meter to measure the resistance and voltage.

The clamp head is mainly used to clamp the wire under test when measuring AC current, and use the principle of current transformer to induce the wire current.

The pliers trigger is mainly used to open and close the pliers. When pressed, the pliers are opened, and when released, the pliers are closed.

The hold button is mainly used to hold the measured data when testing the electronic circuit, so as to facilitate reading the recorded data.

The function knob is mainly aimed at the multi-purpose feature of the clamp meter, and sets the corresponding range for different detections.

The LCD screen is mainly used to display information such as detection data, data unit, selection range and so on.

The test lead jack is mainly used to connect the lead plug of the test lead and the insulation test accessories. The red test lead is connected to the VΩ jack, and the black test lead is connected to the ground terminal.

The clamp-type AC ammeter is essentially composed of a current transformer and a rectifier instrument. The current-carrying wire to be measured is equivalent to the primary winding of the current transformer, and the secondary winding of the current transformer is on the iron core. , the secondary winding is connected to the rectifier system instrument. According to a certain proportional relationship between the primary and secondary windings of the current transformer, the instrument of the rectifier system can display the current value of the measured line.

The clamp-type AC/DC meter is an electromagnetic system instrument. The measured current-carrying wire placed in the jaw is used as the excitation coil. The magnetic flux forms a loop in the iron core. The electromagnetic measuring mechanism is located in the middle of the gap of the iron core. Deflection to get a reading. Since the deflection is not affected by the measurement current, AC and DC currents can be measured.
