The use of soldering iron and precautions
Soldering iron is an indispensable soldering tool in the production and maintenance of electronic products. Soldering iron mainly uses electric heating resistance wire or PTC heating original to produce heat energy, and the heat will be transmitted to the soldering iron head to achieve welding. There are many kinds of soldering iron, such as internal heat type, external heat type and electronic thermostat type.
Use. New soldering iron before use should be multimeter measurement power line resistance, if the resistance value is zero, that the internal touch line, should be dismantled, will be disconnected at the wire and then plugged into the power supply; if the resistance value is infinite, most of the time when the soldering iron core or lead is broken; if the resistance value of 3KΩ or so, and then plugged into the power supply, power a few minutes, pick up the electric soldering iron in the rosin dipped in the normal should be smoked and there is a " Squeak" sound, then dip the tin, so that tin in the soldering iron dipped full before welding.
Note: Be sure to dip the head of the soldering iron on the rosin before power, to prevent oxidation of the head of the soldering iron, which can extend its service life.
Soldering. Pick up the soldering iron can not immediately welding, should first be in the rosin or solder paste (soldering oil) on the dip. (The purpose of one is to remove the dirt on the soldering iron head, the second is to test the temperature), and then dipped in tin, beginners should develop this good habit. To be soldered parts should be first with a little soldering oil, excessively dirty parts should be cleaned up first, and then dipped in soldering oil to soldering. Soldering oil can not use too much, otherwise it will corrode the circuit board, resulting in difficult to repair the fault, as far as possible to use rosin welding. After the soldering iron is energised, the placement head of the soldering iron should be higher than the handle, otherwise the handle is easy to burn out. If the soldering iron is too hot, you should pull out some of the head of the iron from the core shell outward; if the temperature is too low (low mains voltage, not easy to melt tin) can not guarantee the quality of the welding, you can insert the head of the iron inward more, so as to get the right temperature. Soldering tubes and integrated circuits and other originals when the virtual degree to be fast, otherwise it is easy to burn the components. However, you must wait until the solder is completely melted in the circuit board and the foot of the part before you can take away the soldering iron, otherwise it will cause false soldering and bring sequelae to the maintenance.
