The working principle of four welding methods during welding

What are the working principles of different soldering methods for electric soldering iron welding, and what are the issues to pay attention to when using these four soldering methods? Let's learn together.

1. Solder suction and soldering method

By utilizing the negative pressure effect of the built-in cavity of the solder absorber, the heated and melted solder is sucked into the cavity, separating the lead wire from the solder pad.

2. Soldering method for removing tin suction ropes

The method of removing solder from the solder pad by using a suction wire is to separate the lead wire from the solder pad by using the suction wire to remove molten solder.

Apply rosin flux to the part of the braided wire, then place it on the solder joint to be soldered, and then place an electric soldering iron on the braided wire to heat the solder joint. After the solder at the solder joint melts, it is absorbed by the copper braided wire.

If the solder at the solder joint is not sucked completely at once, a second or third time can be carried out until it is sucked completely. After the woven rope is filled with tin, it cannot be used anymore. The area where the solder is filled needs to be cut off.

3. Short needle welding method

The empty needle soldering method is to use an empty needle (or a syringe needle) of similar size (with a hole diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the lead) to cover the lead that needs to be soldered. When the electric soldering iron heats up the soldering tin and melts, quickly rotate the needle until the soldering iron is removed and the soldering tin solidifies before stopping. At this point, the needle is pulled out and the lead has been separated.

4. Remove soldering with a tin absorbing soldering iron

Tin absorbing electric soldering iron is a special type of soldering iron that can heat the solder joint and suck the tin into the inner cavity to complete the soldering process.

Tips for using electric soldering irons

1. Before welding, clean the soldering iron head with a clean, dry sponge or cloth; During welding, first clean the old tin on the head of the soldering iron and follow the welding steps for welding; After welding, cut off the power supply first, let the temperature of the soldering iron head slightly decrease, and then coat it with a new layer of tin, which has better anti oxidation effect.

2. After two minutes of electrification, the electric soldering iron can be used when it reaches the welding temperature; When not in use for a long time, it is necessary to disconnect the power supply.

3. During and after the use of an electric soldering iron, keep the soldering iron head covered with tin to reduce the chance of oxidation and make the soldering iron head durable.

4. When using an electric soldering iron for welding, excessive pressure should not be applied to avoid damage or deformation of the soldering iron head. As long as the soldering iron head fully contacts the solder joint, heat can be transferred.

5. The area of the soldering iron tip in contact with the solder joint is directly related to the heat

When in use, the position of the soldering iron head can be freely controlled. When in normal use, the top end of the soldering iron is in contact with the solder piece and pad, with a small contact area and slightly lower temperature; In order to increase the welding temperature, the position of the soldering iron head can be appropriately changed to increase the area of the soldering iron head in contact with the weldment and the solder pad; In some circuits, the solder pads and solder components are not proportional, and the angle of the soldering iron head can be adjusted appropriately during welding to ensure uniform heating and improve welding quality.
