Thickness Gauge Coupler Instructions

4. 27MG Thickness Gauge calibration steps before use
The 27MG thickness gauge must be calibrated before use to ensure that it gives accurate readings when the probe is used to make measurements. The calibration process involves calibrating the speed of sound and the zero position on two known thicknesses of a test block (e.g., a fifth-order block, as shown in the figure below) of the exact same material as the block being tested.
Calibration steps:
1, on the surface of the test block thick steps drop coupling agent
2, will be coupled to the probe in the test block of thick steps
3, press 【CAL VEL】or 【VAL v】(calibrate the speed of sound key)
4, the thickness reading of the display stabilised by [ENTER] key or [√] (OK key)
6, press [CAL ZERO] or [CAL Ø] (calibration zero key)
7, in the test block thin step of the surface drops of coupling agent
8, the probe coupled to the thin steps of the test block
9, the thickness reading of the display stabilised by [ENTER] key or [√] (OK key)
10, use the arrow keys to enter the thickness reading
11, press 【MEAS】(Measurement) key
