This paper introduces the calibration procedure of conventional PH meter.
The calibration procedure of conventional PH meter is more commonly used for online PH meter and experimental PH meters, which are affordable for the public.
(1) Prepare an appropriate PH standard solution of pH 4.01, pH 6.86 or PH9.18 in the laboratory, and select the standard solution according to the fluctuation range of water samples on site. If the on-site water quality is often acidic, choose two standard samples of PH4.01 and PH6.86; If the on-site water quality is often alkaline, choose two standard samples, PH6.86 and PH9.18. Humidity sensor probe, stainless steel electric heating tube PT100 sensor, cast aluminum heater, heating ring fluid solenoid valve.
(2) Take the sensor out of the site and clean the glass electrode of the probe with clean water.
(3) Pour the two standard solutions into the two prepared beakers respectively.
(4) Immerse the electrode in the first standard solution, open the instrument menu and calibrate the point. Different brands of instruments have different operation methods of the calibration menu, and operate according to the random instructions.
(5) After one-point calibration is passed, rinse the electrode with clean water, then put the electrode into standard solution, flip the instrument menu and calibrate the point.
(6) After the two-point calibration is completed, different brands of instruments will display whether the instrument has passed the calibration or is qualified in different ways.
(7) If it passes, put the electrode back into the liquid to be measured and put the instrument into operation.
(8) If the instrument calibration fails, repeat the above process for calibration; if it fails, replace the ph electrode. Generally, the life of ph electrode is about two years.
