Three situations where the electric soldering iron does not heat up, and the repair method for the electric soldering iron not to heat up

1. Correctly install the iron core of the electric iron

After some internal heating type electric soldering irons are replaced with new soldering iron cores, they are energized for a long time, but the temperature does not go up. Can't even melt tin, the handle is very hot. When checking, if the voltage is normal, you need to remove the soldering iron core to check whether the internal installation is reasonable.

The internal heating type soldering iron core is the same length as the outer tube shell. The correct installation method is to keep the end of the soldering iron core aligned with the end of the outer tube, and not indent or protrude. Only by keeping the alignment can the heat be good. to the tip of the soldering iron.

If the soldering iron core is retracted a lot, the installation of the electric heating core tends to the handle, which makes the heat concentrated on the handle end, and the heat on the soldering iron tip cannot reach the temperature of melting tin.

2. The wiring of the new soldering iron core

An internal heating type soldering iron core was blown out, and the service life was not long even after several replacements.

The lead wire of the newly replaced soldering iron core is too short. There is no room for the soldering iron core to expand and contract when it is cold and hot, which causes the internal thin resistance wire to be broken when the soldering iron core is cold and shrinks after the plug is unplugged.

The correct replacement method: make the lead wire a little longer, 1-2mm, so that it is not easy to burn out. Pay attention to prevent the wire end from being too long and cause the wire to touch, so as not to cause a short circuit fault.

What is the normal temperature of the electric soldering iron?
Between 350 degrees and 400 degrees.

The temperature of the soldering iron tip does not exceed 400, but if the temperature of the contact point does not dissipate heat quickly, the temperature will gradually rise. The working temperature of the soldering iron tip and its upper heating body (300°C-350°C) is only slightly higher than the melting of solder temperature (220°C).

Electric soldering iron is an essential tool for electronic production and electrical maintenance. Its main purpose is to weld components and wires. According to the mechanical structure, it can be divided into internal heat type electric soldering iron and external heat type electric soldering iron. Tin-type soldering irons are divided into high-power soldering irons and low-power soldering irons according to different uses.

What is the typical temperature of a soldering iron?

If it is a tinned electric soldering iron, its maximum temperature is about 300 degrees, because the melting point of tin is 231.9 degrees, so it is not possible to solder aluminum, the melting point of aluminum is 660.2 degrees, and welding aluminum should be gas welding.
