Tips for using digital storage oscilloscope
(1) First, connect the probe of the CH1 channel of the oscilloscope to the relevant test point of the DC power supply, and press the "Auto Set" button to make the oscilloscope display the corresponding waveform.
(2) Adjust the "trigger level" knob on the right side of the instrument panel, as shown in the figure below, and set the capture pulse level to be slightly higher than the signal level, assuming it is 5.60V. That is to say, as long as it is higher than 5.60V All pulses can be captured. While adjusting the "trigger level" knob, the yellow arrow on the screen moves upward, and at the same time, the words "5.60V" and "rising edge trigger" and other signs are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
(3) Adjust the "seconds/div" knob to a value that is approximately close to the value. The period can be set shorter first. If it is too large, the captured waveform cannot be displayed normally.
(4) Adjust the "Horizontal Position" knob to set the position of the captured burst pulse on the X-axis. Here, it is set at the origin of the Make corresponding movements in the horizontal direction.
(5) Press the "SINGLE" button to prepare to capture the trigger pulse. The word "Ready" is displayed above the white arrow on the screen, indicating that it is ready.
(6) Turn off the DC power switch. At this time, a jitter pulse will be generated at the moment of turning off. This jitter pulse will be captured by the digital storage oscilloscope. The words "Acq Complete" will be displayed above the white arrow on the screen, and On the screen, we can see a sharp pulse wave on the horizontal line of the original DC level, near the origin of the X-axis.
