Two wonderful ways to use a digital multimeter

This method can be used to check whether the power cord of household appliances is broken, and it can also check the broken position of the heating wire inside electric blankets, electric irons and other household appliances.
1. Determine the location of the broken core of the wire [Phase Nuclear Phase Meter]
Method: Connect one end of the broken core insulated wire to the live wire of the 220V AC power supply, and leave the other end floating. Set the digital multimeter to the 2V position. Starting from the live wire end, move the red test lead along the insulated outer sheath of the wire. The displayed voltage value should jump up and down at a few tenths of a volt. When the red test lead moves to a certain place, the voltage suddenly drops to a few 0.0 volts, indicating that this must be the location of the broken core.

Transformation ratio tester manufacturer introduces two wonderful uses of digital multimeter [DC high voltage generator]
In the AC 20V gear of the digital multimeter, the readings of the two measurements are 6.01V and 0.4V respectively. Then the 6.01V terminal is the "fire" wire of the power supply, and 0.4V is the change.

Due to the high sensitivity of the AC block of the digital multimeter, it is also possible to accurately determine the live wire without touching the internal copper wires and only touching the outer sheaths of the two power wires. The method is the same as above. Since the tip of the test lead does not touch the copper wire inside, the voltage induced is smaller, so a smaller range should be selected.

2. Distinguish between "zero" money and "fire" money of mains electricity
Set the multimeter to AC 20V, remove the black test pen, hold the insulating rod of the red test pen, and touch the two holes in the power socket with the tip of the pen. The one with the larger value is the "hot" wire, and the one with the larger number is the "hot" wire. The small socket hole is the "neutral" wire.
