Types of commonly used soldering iron
1, external heat type soldering iron
By the iron head, iron core, shell, wooden handle, power lead, plug and other parts. Because the iron head is installed inside the iron core, so it is called the external heat type soldering iron. Soldering iron core is the key component of the soldering iron, it is the electric wire parallel winding in a hollow porcelain tube composition, the middle of the mica sheet insulation, and lead to two wires and 220V AC power supply connection.
External thermal soldering iron specifications are many, commonly used 25W, 45W, 75W, 100W, etc., the greater the power the higher the temperature of the iron head. The power specifications of the soldering iron core is not the same, its internal resistance is not the same. 25W soldering iron resistance value is about 2kΩ, 45W soldering iron resistance value is about 1kΩ, 75W soldering iron resistance value is about 0.6kΩ, 100W soldering iron resistance value is about 0.5kΩ.
The tip of the soldering iron is made of purple copper material, its function is to store heat and conduct heat, and its temperature must be much higher than the temperature of the soldered. The temperature of the soldering iron is related to the volume, shape and length of the soldering iron tip. When the volume of the soldering iron head is relatively large, the holding time is longer. In addition, in order to adapt to the requirements of different welding objects, the shape of the iron head is different, common cone, chisel shape, round beveled and so on.
2, endothermic soldering iron
By the handle, connecting rod, spring clip, iron core, iron head composition. Because the iron core is installed inside the iron head, so the heat is generated quickly, high heat utilization rate, therefore, it is called the endothermic type soldering iron. The common specifications of the endothermic soldering iron are 20W and 50W. Because of its high thermal efficiency, 20W endothermic soldering iron is equivalent to about 40W exothermic soldering iron.
The back end of the endothermic soldering iron is hollow, used for socketed on the connecting rod, and fixed with a spring clip, when you need to replace the head of the soldering iron, you must first exit the spring clip, and at the same time, use pliers to hold the head of the soldering iron at the front, and slowly pull it out, and remember not to use too much force, so as not to damage the connecting rod.
3、Constant temperature soldering iron
Due to the thermostatic iron head, equipped with a magnet type temperature controller, control the power time and realize the temperature control, that is, to the electric soldering iron, the temperature of the soldering iron rises, when it reaches the predetermined temperature, because of the strong magnet sensor has reached the curie point and the magnetic disappearance, so that the magnetic core contacts disconnect, then it will stop power supply to the electric iron; when the temperature is lower than the strong magnet sensor of the curie point, the strong magnet will restore the magnetism, and the magnetic core switches in the permanent magnetism. When the temperature is lower than the Curie point of the strong magnet sensor, the strong magnet will recover the magnetism, and suck the permanent magnet in the magnetic core switch, so that the contact of the control switch is turned on, and continue to supply power to the soldering iron. So the cycle is repeated, it will achieve the purpose of controlling the temperature.
4、Tin-absorbing soldering iron
Suction tin soldering iron is a piston type tin sucker and soldering iron dissolved into one of the desoldering tools. It has the use of convenient, flexible, wide range of application and other characteristics. This kind of tin soldering iron is not enough each time only a soldering point for desoldering.
