Usage of sound level meters
1. Check the calibration of the sound level meter using a sound calibrator
2. Set the range switch to the appropriate position based on the size of the measured sound. If the size cannot be estimated, set it to "85-130"
3. Place the time weighting switch in the position specified in the standard; When the sound level is relatively stable, set it to "F" (fast); If the sound level changes sharply, place it in "S" (slow)
4. Set the reading flag switch to "5S" or "3S"
5. Turn the power switch to "on"; Display numbers when the instrument starts working
6. If the right end of the display shows an excess mark "▲" (under measure mark "▼"), the range switch should be moved up "or down" to make the range mark disappear. If the range mark cannot disappear, the measured sound level on the meter exceeds the measurement range of the instrument.
7. After adjusting the range of the sound level meter, the measurement results can be read from the display screen.
8. Keep measurement records
9. After the measurement is completed, it is recommended to use a sound calibrator to check the sensitivity of the sound level meter to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement data.
10. Turn the power switch to 'off'. If this instrument is no longer used for a long time, be sure to remove the battery.
Sound level meters are mainly used for measuring environmental noise, mechanical and electrical product noise, building acoustics, and electromagnetic acoustic noise; But if connected to #&# octave filters or #&'octave filters, spectral analysis of noise can be performed; If the capacitive microphone on the sound level meter is replaced with an accelerometer and firmly connected with bolts or adhesive methods, the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of vibration can be measured.
In order to accurately measure noise and vibration using a sound level meter and keep it in good condition, attention should be paid to preparation before use, noise measurement, vibration measurement, and inspection and adjustment.
