Use of portable gas warning equipment

1, Before use
① Before homework, carefully read the corresponding user manual for the gas detector and familiarize yourself with the machine's performance and operating methods.

② Check if the battery level is sufficient, and if it is found to be low, replace the battery in a timely manner.

③ Check if there are any debris blocking the intake air filter, which needs to be cleaned or replaced.

④ During the self check during the startup process, you should listen for the accuracy of the graded alarm sound and light alarm and vibration alarm. If they do not meet the requirements, they should not be used and should be corrected immediately.

⑤ Press and hold the start button for three seconds during startup to enter the self check state. Observe whether the low and high alarm values set by the detector are accurate. If they do not meet the requirements, they should not be used and should be corrected immediately. During the self check during the startup process, you should listen for the accuracy of the graded alarm sound and light alarm and vibration alarm. If they do not meet the requirements, they should not be used and should be corrected immediately.

⑥ After starting up in fresh air conditions, observe whether the initial values are accurate. If the displayed values are not accurate, it is strictly prohibited to use them and should be corrected immediately.

2, During use
① When using a portable gas detector, it should be worn as close as possible to the mouth and nose, such as the front collar of clothes, shirt pockets, etc. It is strictly prohibited to place the alarm in difficult to see areas such as pockets, which may affect the detection value.

② During use, collision should be avoided as much as possible, which may cause abnormal detection data.

③ Gas detector sensors and other components are precision components. After adjusting the instrument, do not open the cover casually. During use, pay attention to waterproofing and preventing impurities from entering to prevent data anomalies.

④ If there are abnormal situations such as continuous flashing of indicator lights, sudden absence of numerical display on the display screen, failure to display numerical values in areas with obvious gas exceeding standards, and large differences during use, the operation should be stopped immediately. Evacuate to a fresh air area to observe the problem and promptly eliminate it. Otherwise, it is strictly prohibited to continue using.

⑤ In cases where gas detection exceeds the standard, the operation shall comply with national and company regulations:
Gas on-site operation (excluding confined spaces) concentration and operation time requirements:
When the concentration of CO in the air is 24ppm, normal operation can be carried out;
When the concentration of CO in the air is 40ppm, it can work for 1 hour;
When the concentration of CO in the air is 80ppm, it can work for half an hour;
When the concentration of CO in the air is 160ppm, only 15-20 minutes of operation are allowed, with a 2-hour interval between each operation.

Oxygen homework: The oxygen content in the working area environment shall not be less than 19.5%, and the oxygen content in limited spaces is generally 19.5% to 21%. In an oxygen rich environment, it shall not exceed 23.5%.

Hydrogen sulfide operation:
When the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is below 40ppm, a filtered gas mask can be worn for operation, and the applicable substance should be indicated on the surface of the gas filter tank;

When working in areas where the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is greater than 40ppm or the concentration is unknown or the concentration of sulfur dioxide is higher than 2ppm, a positive pressure air respirator should be used;

It is strictly prohibited for anyone to enter areas that may contain hydrogen sulfide gas without wearing appropriate protective equipment, and it is also prohibited to remove toxic equipment in toxic areas.

⑥ If dizziness, tinnitus, or blurred vision occur during homework, the work should be stopped immediately and evacuated to a fresh air area (pay attention to the air flow direction and choose an upper air outlet). If the situation is serious, emergency response should be initiated immediately to carry out self rescue and other rescue.
