Utilizing a clamp meter
A clamp meter is an instrument used to measure the current of a running electrical circuit, and it can measure the current without power failure.
1. Layout and principle
In essence, it is composed of a current transformer, a pincer wrench and a rectifying magnetoelectric system with a reaction force instrument.
2. How to use
(1) The machine must be zeroed before measurement
(2) Select the appropriate range, first select the large range, then select the small range or see the nameplate value for estimation.
(3) When the minimum range is used to measure and the reading is not significant, the measured wire can be wound several turns, and the number of turns should be based on the number of turns in the middle of the closed end, then the reading = indicated value range / full-biased turns
(4) When measuring, the wire under test should be in the middle of the opening, and the opening should be closed tightly to reduce errors.
(5) After the measurement, put the changeover switch at the most range.
3. Careful work
(1) The voltage of the line under test should be lower than the rated voltage.
(2) When measuring the current of a high-voltage line, wear insulating gloves, wear insulating shoes, and stand on an insulating mat.
(3) The closed mouth should be closed and precise, and the range cannot be changed with power on.
