What do I need to consider when installing a gas detector?

A gas detector is an instrumentation tool for gas leakage concentration detection, which includes: portable gas detectors, handheld gas detectors, stationary gas detectors, online gas detectors, and so on. Gas detectors mainly use gas sensors to detect the type of gas present in the environment, gas sensors are sensors used to detect the composition and content of the gas. However, there are some issues to consider when installing a gas detector, as follows:

1. Where should the gas detector be installed?
Before installing the gas detector, you need to understand the distribution of the installation environment, such as pipeline joints, valves, raw material location, airflow conditions. If you choose the wrong location when installing the instrument, then its detection effect may not be too obvious.

2. What are the environmental conditions for the installation of gas detectors?
The gas detector has a strong adaptability, but in the installation should pay attention to the humidity, temperature, pressure and other basic conditions. Generally in a ventilated factory environment can be directly installed, if used in pipelines and chimneys and other closed environment, you need to strictly control the installation conditions. Most of the gas detectors use temperature: -20-50 degrees, humidity does not exceed 90%, no condensation, pressure 100kp range. Although it can be installed when it does not meet the installation conditions, it will lead to the accuracy of its measurement and the instrument life is affected. Therefore, in this case, you can consider adding gas processing device, so that meet the conditions of the gas into the gas sensor probe.

3. What is the effect of too much dust in the installation location?
If there is too much gas dust in the installation environment, it will cause the gas sensor to be blocked and the detection accuracy will be reduced. Therefore, if the instrument is to be used in a dusty environment, it is necessary to filter the dust and then clean the instrument regularly according to the dust accumulation. However, when cleaning the instrument, you can not use water or alcohol and other solutions to wipe, you should take a clean soft cloth to clean the surface of the detector.
