What is a clamp meter

Clamp meter, also known as clamp ammeter, is an instrument that measures the current of electrical lines. Compared with ammeters and multimeters, the advantage of clamp meters is that there is no need to disconnect the circuit when measuring current. The clamp meter can be divided into two types: pointer clamp meter and digital clamp meter. The pointer clamp meter uses the pointer swing of the internal ammeter to indicate the magnitude of the measured current; the digital clamp meter uses a digital measurement circuit. After processing the measured current, the current is displayed in digital form through the display.
