What is the difference between a combustible gas detector and a combustible gas alarm

Combustible gas detectors and combustible gas alarms are literally understood as detecting and alarming. At first glance, their functions may sound different, but they are actually the same. The detector has the function of alarm, and the alarm also has the function of detection, so there is really no difference. The difference between the two types of gas detectors lies in the addition of an audible and visual alarm. When the gas to be detected reaches the set alarm value, the alarm will be triggered to achieve a timely reminder. Of course, this premise requires the detection of combustible gases first, so the two types of combustible gas detection and alarm devices are essentially the same, and most combustible gas detectors on the market now support the addition of alarms.

These two are both industrial explosion-proof gas alarms, both classified as fixed type. Only one product has different titles and nomenclature. In fact, there are other names, such as combustible gas alarm, combustible gas sensor, and so on. They are both industrial explosion-proof gas concentration leakage detection alarm products, so you can choose whether to bring an alarm according to your usage needs!

1. Gas alarms can be divided into two types: household gas alarms and industrial gas alarms. Generally, industrial gas alarms are composed of gas alarm controllers and gas detectors. The gas alarm control terminal is located in the monitoring room to centrally monitor all detection points. The gas detector terminal is located at the leakage point, and after a gas leak, the sensor in the gas detector mainly detects the leaked gas in the air, And the concentration data is transmitted back through a current signal. When the solubility reaches the set alarm point, the controller equipment will emit an audible and visual alarm. If an audible and visual alarm is installed on site, it will also emit an audible and visual alarm and start a series of linkage devices, such as fans, solenoid valves, etc.

2. The gas detected by the gas alarm can be divided into toxic gas alarm, combustible gas alarm, and composite gas alarm. Various sensors are used in the gas alarm to detect different gases, while the composite gas alarm can detect multiple gases simultaneously.

3. Gas alarms are divided into portable gas detectors and fixed gas alarms. Portable gas detectors are convenient for workers to carry and conduct on-site investigations, and can be carried to different places for testing. Their advantages are small, flexible, and easy to carry. However, their disadvantages are that they cannot work regularly for a long time and cannot be connected to various linkage devices. Fixed gas alarms are relatively stable and can be connected to linkage devices such as fans and solenoid valves, providing long-term guarantees for safety production.
