What is the function of a spirit level
A horizontal ruler, as the name suggests, is a measuring tool that measures the horizontal position. It is a measuring tool that uses a level bubble to indicate the value, and directly displays the angular displacement through the level bubble of the liquid inside the horizontal ruler, thereby measuring information such as the relative horizontal position, vertical position, and degree of deviation from the inclined position of the measured surface. The practical applications of a level mainly include:


1. Check and adjust the horizontal position of mechanical equipment such as machine tools, instrument guides, and instrument bases.


2. Measure the inclination angle of the relative horizontal plane position, such as the straightness and flatness of machine tools, instrument guides, rulers, and flat plates.


3. Measure the verticality and parallelism of the positions between two planes to assist in building installation.


What are the types of horizontal rulers


There are many types of horizontal rulers, which can also be classified according to different classification standards:


According to principles
(1) Mechanical level: including a bar level (a rectangular level measuring instrument with a base measuring surface and fixed level bubbles or adjustable relative to the base measuring surface), a frame level (a frame level measuring instrument with a base measuring surface and two vertical measuring surfaces and fixed level bubbles or adjustable relative to the base measuring surface), and a magnetic level (a base measuring surface and one side with magnetic attachment on the side, which can be used for adsorption measurement on the Z-axis of machine tools, with magnetic switches)


(2) Electronic level: an electronic level that uses a display light instead of a water bubble, allowing for a visual indication of whether it is level by observing the color of the display light; There are also more intuitive digital level rulers that can directly display numbers, but this type is not very durable, so it is relatively rare.


Divided by structure
It is mainly divided into two types: adjustable level and non adjustable level.


The method of making a horizontal ruler
1. The cut birch wood is placed on the machine to dig out several holes, which will be filled with level bubbles containing bubbles and used as handles.


2. Burrs on the edges of the wooden strips and grooves on the edges for copper edging. Roll the rolled and bent copper strips flat, fold them into shape, and let the copper edges fit into the grooves of the horizontal ruler wooden strips. Insert them into the grooves to protect the edges of the wooden strips.


3. On the other side, melt the plastic and inject it into a curved small bottle (level bubble). The injected small bottle only needs to be sealed on one end and left with an opening on the other end.


4. The small bottles are sent to the mechanical gripper through a vibrating disc feeder. The mechanical gripper holds each small bottle and rotates it with the opening facing upwards. A yellow mixed liquid (composed of ethylene glycol, alcohol, water, and glycerol) is injected into the small bottles, and the same amount of liquid is injected into each small bottle, leaving only the space required to form bubbles.


5. The mechanical claw attaches a plastic cap to the small bottle cap and uses an ultrasonic welding machine to weld the plastic cap onto the small bottle, sealing the liquid inside the small bottle.


6. Horizontal bubbles with bubbles will be captured by a camera, and the computer will automatically detect the size and position of the bubbles to determine whether they are qualified.


7. Roll the small bottle on the machine and heat transfer two indicator lines onto the small bottle. At this point, the small bottle needs to be inspected again because the deviation of the bubble position will directly affect the accuracy of the level. The qualified small bottle will enter the solid fusion welding system, and the molten plastic will be injected into the gap to form the base of the horizontal bubble.


8. A horizontal bubble with a base is inserted into the opening of the wooden strip and fixed with glue. Each horizontal bubble must be placed completely horizontally, and the installation process requires the use of enlarged images to ensure accuracy.


9. An acrylic frame should be installed on the outer side of the horizontal bubble to protect it, and rubber caps should be installed on both ends with screws, and the logo should be printed on the wooden strip. The entire level is ready.


10. Various inspections, such as flatness, accuracy, zero position error, and so on.
