What is the temperature of the electric soldering iron? What is the temperature of the 40w electric soldering iron?

The temperature of the soldering iron is 300-400°C.

Specifically, the temperature of the soldering iron tip should be set between 330 and 370 degrees when it is necessary to directly enter electrical elements. The temperature should be between 300 and 320 degrees if it is a surface mount material. Large component feet cannot be soldered at temperatures higher than 380 degrees at 290 degrees. Additionally, certain temperature settings are needed for various materials.

There are two types of electric soldering irons: external heating type and internal heating type:

The soldering iron tip, soldering iron core, shell, wooden handle, power lead, plug, and other components make up the external heating electric soldering iron. It is known as an external heating type electric soldering iron because the soldering iron head is housed inside the soldering iron core. The electric soldering iron's core is its most important component. The heating wire is wound parallel on a hollow porcelain tube to create it. Two wires are drawn out from the center of the insulated mica sheet and connected to the 220V AC power source.

The handle, connecting rod, spring clip, soldering iron core, and soldering iron tip make up the internal heating electric soldering iron. The soldering iron heats up quickly and has a high heat usage rate since the soldering iron core is housed inside the soldering iron head. It is referred to as an internal heating type electric soldering iron as a result. Electric soldering irons with internal heating typically come in 20W and 50W standards. A 20W internal heating soldering iron is equivalent to a 40W external heating soldering iron due to its high thermal efficiency.

Electric soldering irons with internal heating have hollow back ends that were once wrapped around connecting rods and secured with spring clips. The spring clip must be removed before replacing the soldering iron tip, and the front end of the tip needs to be crimped using pliers. Do not use excessive force when removing it; instead, pull it out slowly to prevent harming the connecting rod.

How hot is a 40-watt electric soldering iron?

A 40w soldering iron's melting point is between 250 and 300 degrees. The temperature increases with the soldering iron's power.
