What should be noted when installing a gas detector?

Precautions for installation of gas detector
1. Installation position of gas detector:
Before installing a gas detector, it is necessary to first understand the distribution situation on site, such as pipeline joints, valves, raw material locations, airflow, and other actual conditions. These are all considerations that need to be taken into account before installing the instrument. If installed anywhere, it may cause the gas detector to malfunction.

2. Installation environment for gas detector:
The gas detector needs to be installed in a suitable environment, and humidity, temperature, pressure, and other conditions should be met when installing the instrument. Generally used in factories, it can be installed directly. If installed in enclosed spaces such as pipelines or chimneys, installation conditions should be strictly controlled. The installation environment temperature for gas detectors is usually -20-50 degrees Celsius, with humidity not exceeding 90%, no condensation, and a pressure range of 100kp. If the instrument is installed in an unsuitable environment, it will affect its accuracy and service life. So during installation, it is possible to consider adding a gas processing device to allow gas to enter the head of the gas sensor.

3. Dust impact on installation location:
If there is too much dust in the current installation environment, it may cause blockage of the gas sensor and a decrease in detection accuracy. So, if the gas detector needs to be used in an environment with high dust, some dust filtering methods need to be adopted, and the instrument needs to be cleaned regularly according to the actual situation. It is not allowed to clean the gas detector directly with water or alcohol solution. A clean soft cloth can be used to wipe the surface of the gas detector.
