What should I do if the measurement results of the moisture analyzer are inconsistent?
In fact, this is because the customer has entered into a misunderstanding and mistakenly regards the moisture meter as the standard for testing moisture. At the same time, this standard is also used to test the test results of other instruments. Some customers also use the capacitance moisture meter as the test standard. Doing it is actually not in compliance with the standard. Oven method detection is a national safety standard. The country actually has a standard value for the moisture content of any substance. In addition, the moisture values tested by products such as capacitors, resistors, infrared moisture meters, and halogen moisture analyzers on the market are relative values, not values. This must first be clarified. Secondly, the accuracy of the results tested by the moisture meter should be corrected according to the national standard value. Instead of several moisture meters to calibrate at the same time or take one of them as the standard.
Now take the standard test value of flour as an example to illustrate
The national standard stipulates that the moisture value of flour is ≤14%. Use the Bajiu Halogen Moisture Analyzer to sample 3 grams at a temperature of 135 degrees. The tested value is 14%, which is better in line with the national standard, so the result of this temperature test is accurate. If the test value is lower than 14%, then adjust the temperature and increase the temperature by 3-5 degrees. If the result of the 138 test is 14%, then the subsequent test will use 138 degrees to test. The opposite is true if the moisture value tested is too high.
Causes and Solutions of Poor Repeatability of Moisture Meter
There are many reasons for the poor repeatability of the moisture analyzer. First, you can consider whether the external environment is stable and there is no vibration. It is also possible that the operating table is not stable and only needs to be replaced with a stable operating table. If it is not an external environment and installation problem, then it needs to be checked from the moisture analyzer and samples.
When the temperature sensor of the moisture analyzer is contaminated or damaged, it may affect the repeatability, so the temperature sensor should be cleaned. At the same time, the protective glass is stained and the heating capacity cannot be exerted, and the sample boils and continuously splashes and will change the temperature. At this time, the protective glass can be cleaned.
Poor moisture analyzer repeatability can also be sample related. Inhomogeneity of the sample, too short drying time or incomplete drying of the sample can all contribute. At this time, you can increase the sample amount, extend the drying time, or try mixing quartz sand for drying. At the same time, if the temperature is too high or the sample is oxidized, the repeatability will also be affected. In this case, the drying temperature can be lowered.
