What should I do if the multimeter cannot be mechanically zeroed?
The pocket multimeter I just bought cannot be adjusted to zero mechanically. After adjusting it for a while, it is still on the 25 volt side and cannot be turned to 0 volts.
Solution:
1. Replace the multimeter with a new one.
2. Repair by yourself: open the upper cover of the watch, you can see: pointer, moving coil, hairspring, etc. The end point of the outer ring of the hairspring is welded on the vertical column, and the upper part of the vertical column is a rotatable ring with a fork at the end of the ring. There is a zero adjustment button on the cover, there is an eccentric protrusion at the bottom of the zero adjustment button, and the eccentric protrusion should be inserted into the fork with the fork. If it is disengaged, it cannot be mechanically zeroed. Just reset it.
