What to do if the gas detector's measurement is not accurate

A gas detector is an instrument used to detect gas concentration. Although it has high detection accuracy, one prerequisite is that it needs to be calibrated regularly, because if the gas detector is not maintained and calibrated after long-term use, it will lead to inaccurate measurement.

Solution to inaccurate detection of gas detectors
When using a gas detector to confirm the accuracy of the gas concentration in the detection environment, there is a certain difference between the theoretical value and the actual value. It is recommended to calibrate the instrument with a standard gas calibration instrument before use to ensure the accuracy of the instrument detection. Alternatively, the instrument can be calibrated by a third-party metrology and verification institution at or above the provincial level, as it is difficult for non professional personnel to handle the accuracy issue of such products alone.

If the gas detector cannot accurately measure data after calibration, it should communicate with the manufacturer to confirm whether the gas sensor in the instrument can still be used. If the sensor itself has exceeded its service life, although it can still be used normally in a short period of time after recalibration, there may still be problems with inaccurate measurement values or excessive drift values after a period of time. Therefore, the manufacturer can be contacted to replace the gas sensor in a timely manner.

If the gas sensor has been in use for a period of time, it may cause measurement errors, and it is necessary to recalibrate the detector.
