When choosing a gas alarm, consideration should be given to the risk assessment of entering a confined space, taking into account the conditions of other parts inside and outside the confined space, as well as their potential impact on the confined space. In many cases, the source of hazardous gases in a confined space may not be located within the confined space.
For example, in many refineries and chemical plants, the release of toxic (toxic gas alarms) and explosive (flammable gas alarms) gases from equipment is common.
