Why do detectors need to be calibrated regularly?
1. The accuracy of the instrument is an important prerequisite for issuing an alarm when the concentration of toxic and harmful gases or combustible gases in the detection environment reaches the preset alarm limit. Correct and timely alarm is the guarantee for personnel safety and production safety.
2. The accuracy of the detector mainly depends on the sensor. Electrochemical sensors and catalytic combustion sensors will gradually change or even become poisoned and fail due to the influence of certain substances in the environment during use. Therefore, regular calibration of gas detectors is absolutely necessary.
3. At present, all gas detectors have not gotten rid of the relative measurement method. Because of this, the instrument needs to be maintained and calibrated in time. Only after the correct calibration required by the manufacturer, the accuracy of the results detected by the instrument to be guaranteed.
4. In order to ensure that the error of the test results of the instrument does not exceed the normal range, frequent calibration is also necessary. Just like our watches, we will often calibrate with the standard time to ensure the accuracy of the time displayed by the watch. For gas detectors whose detection results involve the safety of human life, the accuracy is even more important.
