How to measure resistance with digital multimeter

Open circuit voltage: 400mV

Overload protection: 250V DC or AC peak.

Note: When using the 400Ω range, the test leads should be short-circuited first to measure the lead resistance, and then subtract it from the actual measurement.

Three, digital multimeter resistance measurement precautions

1. When measuring in-line resistance, the line power supply must be turned off and all capacitors must be fully discharged.

2. If the resistance under test is open circuit or the resistance value exceeds the maximum range of the meter, the meter will display "OL".

3. When measuring resistance above 1MΩ, it will take several seconds for the meter to read stable, which is normal for high resistance measurement.

4. When measuring resistance, do not input the voltage value, otherwise the reading will be inaccurate. If the overload protection voltage exceeds 250V, it may damage the instrument and endanger the safety of users.

5. After the measurement is completed, immediately disconnect the test leads from the circuit under test.
