For heavy cases, small faults such as inability to zero the ohm or poor contact will continue, making it very annoying to use. When choosing a pointer multimeter, in addition to having the merchant measure some simple physical quantities, I also need to weigh it in my hand. A high-quality multimeter feels "heavy" in my hand, while a low-quality pointer multimeter feels light and smooth in my hand, which can also be reflected in the workmanship and materials used.
The second point is to buy some brands of pointer multimeter, because a good brand is the guarantee of quality. For example, MF-47 series pointer multimeter, MF500 type multimeter, etc. are all available for selection. The multimeter I use in my daily work is the MF470 pointer type multimeter, which has been in use for many years and is still in use.

For choosing a digital multimeter, in addition to considering the quality factor of the digital multimeter, I believe it is also necessary to consider the display accuracy of the multimeter. We can choose the accuracy of the multimeter and the number of digits displayed according to our work needs. Generally, there are two types of display accuracy for a digital multimeter: three and a half digits and four and a half digits. The more digits displayed, the higher the accuracy. In addition, it is necessary to select functions and measurement ranges according to needs. If you choose too many functions and cannot use them in your work, it will cause waste.
There is still a lot of room for selection for digital multimeters, such as those from brands such as Unilever, Fluke, and Victory. I usually use Unilever, and if there are no special requirements, it can generally meet my work needs.
