Pretty well the ideal toolbox Multimeter tester. This GVDA multimeter tests all the basic functions in a single stick meter. Lots of useful and must-have features, without too many complicated settings and menus. The pen meter can be used as a single stick or connected to a secondary flying lead for accurate measurements of voltage resistance, diode and continuity.
Things I really like. It has a loud BEEP that lets you know it's turned on and also when testing continuity and diode setting. For me, this is an essential feature. When working on-site, with noisy machinery, it's no use having a sound that you can't hear or a screen that you can't read in strong sunlight.
The screen is a reverse colour screen, so the background is black and the digits are in white and yellow for easier visual display. Three buttons control on/off - LED work light/ hold - and a function button.
Body construction is solid heavy weight plastic with easy-grip sides, a screw in place battery compartment and a shape that won't roll off a tabletop. I also like the protective covers that shield the probe tip
All in, this is a good mid-priced stick meter. Simple and safe to use and easy to read and understand the measurements. It's the ideal electrical test probe to have in your toolbox. IT's robust, takes ordinary AAA batteries and will put up with some mistreatment. I'll be using this one for certain and very happy t give it full marks.
