Why is the output end of the DC regulated power supply not allowed to be short-circuited?
1. The engineering is mainly based on practical use. Since the regulated power supply is used, it must be electricity, so the short circuit has no meaning. Wouldn't do it even if allowed.
2. If it is a short circuit, eg. Output ground. It can be seen that the internal resistance of the power supply is very small. When the output is short-circuited, the voltage is constant and the resistance is small, and the current will be large, exceeding the rated current and damaging the equipment.
3. Not all power supplies are not allowed to be short-circuited. Some power supplies are short-circuit protected, and such power supplies will not be damaged even if they are short-circuited.
