5 matters needing attention in the use of coating thickness gauge
1. Do not use low-quality batteries, so as not to cause liquid leakage and corrosion of the motherboard of the host. Once leakage is found, please send it for repair immediately. If it is too late, the host will be scrapped directly. If not in use for a long time, please remove the battery.
2. When plugging and unplugging the probe, you must first turn off the power of the host before plugging and unplugging. Otherwise, it is easy to cause the integrated block inside the probe to burn.
3. When measuring, the probe should be placed steadily, and the strength should not be too large, and the point measurement cannot be very fast; when testing, the probe should not be scratched on the surface to be tested, which will easily cause damage to the probe.
4. It is very important not to measure when the coating is wet. Many customers often measure when the coating is wet. After the probe is stuck to the paint, wash it off with banana water or xylene and then use it. . If you do this, the most serious probe will be scrapped directly. Even if it is not scrapped, the sensitivity of the probe will be reduced, and the service life of the probe will also be reduced.
5. When choosing a coating thickness gauge, try to choose a split-type instrument. Since the probe is a wearing part, it has a certain service life and is also a consumable. The probe of the all-in-one machine cannot be repaired, and the price of replacing the probe is very high, which is close to the price of a new machine. The split machine only needs to replace the probe.
Can the coating thickness gauge measure coatings on non-metallic materials?
The current coating thickness gauge is not able to measure the coating thickness on non-metallic materials, it can only measure the coating of non-magnetic materials on iron base and the thickness of insulating layer on non-ferrous base metal materials.
Another: For the coating measurement of non-metallic substrate materials, electrolysis, X-ray, ultrasonic coating and other instruments can be selected at present, but all methods have advantages and disadvantages. Electrolysis will destroy the material, and X-ray thickness gauges are relatively expensive. The accuracy and stability of the coating thickness gauge is not very good. At present, many users use the era thickness gauge to measure through indirect methods, for example: spraying metal materials and non-metallic materials at the same time during the spraying process, and then measuring The thickness of the metal coating indirectly obtains the thickness of the spraying of non-metallic materials.
