Adjustment and Calibration of Reflective Microscopes

Adjustment and calibration of reflective microscope:
1. The first experimental sample should be observed on a designated microscope, and the power switch of the microscope can only be turned on after confirming that the brightness adjustment button of the microscope is in the * low position;

2. Adjust brightness: You can use the brightness adjustment button (increase brightness in the direction of the arrow, decrease brightness in the opposite direction) to adjust the brightness; When the brightness of the light in the field of view does not meet the requirements, it is necessary to rotate the aperture stop ring to adjust and change the diameter of the incident light to make the brightness in the field of view moderate;

3. Place the sample on the stage with the polished surface facing the objective lens (do not fix the sample with a spring clamp); 4. Use eyepiece 10X and objective 10X for coarse focusing. Look at the object lens, adjust the coarse adjustment knob to slowly raise the objective lens and gradually approach the sample until there is a gap (be careful not to collide the lens with the sample), then look at the eyepiece, rotate the coarse

adjustment knob to slowly lower the objective lens until the microstructure is visible in the field of view, and adjust the fine adjustment knob to raise and lower the objective lens until the microstructure is clear;

4. Select 10X and 40X objective lenses, aperture and field of view apertures of different sizes, carefully observe the sample, move the stage, observe various parts of the sample tissue, learn how to focus, select appropriate aperture and field of view apertures, determine magnification, and move the stage;

5. After observation, first push the brightness adjustment button to the lowest position, then cut off the power and restore the metallographic microscope.
