Principle of dual color infrared thermometer
The dual color thermometer works based on the following principle: the ratio of their radiated energy varies with temperature at two selected infrared wavelengths and a certain bandwidth. By using two sets of narrow bandwidth monochromatic filters, the radiation energy in two similar frequency bands is collected, converted into electrical signals, and then compared. Finally, the temperature of the measured target is determined based on this ratio. Therefore, it can basically eliminate the inconvenience of adjusting the emissivity of the target material. The use of a two-color thermometer has high temperature sensitivity, small deviation from the true temperature of the target, and is less affected by the test distance and the absorption of substances between them. It has good performance in the medium and high temperature range.
