Advantages of Push-pull Switching Power Supply

1. The push-pull switching power supply has a high transient response speed for output current and good voltage output characteristics. Push-pull switching power supply is the highest voltage utilization switching power supply among all switching power supplies.

Due to the alternating operation of the two control switches in the push-pull switching power supply, its output voltage waveform is very symmetrical, and the switching power supply provides power output to the load throughout the entire cycle. Therefore, its output current transient response speed is very high, and the voltage output characteristics are good. Push-pull switching power supply is the highest voltage utilization switching power supply among all switching power supplies. It can still maintain a large output power even when the input voltage is very low, so push-pull switching power supply is widely used in low input voltage DC/AC inverters and active DC/DC converter circuits.

2. Push-pull switching power supply is a switching power supply with excellent output voltage characteristics.

After bridge rectification or full wave rectification, the output voltage ripple coefficient and current ripple coefficient of push-pull switching power supply are very small. Therefore, a small value of energy storage filter capacitor or energy storage filter inductance is required to obtain an output voltage with very small voltage and current ripple. Therefore, push-pull switching power supply is a switching power supply with excellent output voltage characteristics.

3. The leakage inductance and copper resistance loss of push-pull switching power supply transformers are much smaller than those of unipolar magnetizing pole transformers, and the working efficiency of switching power supply is high.

The transformer of a push-pull switching power supply belongs to a bipolar magnetizing pole, and the magnetic induction voltage range is more than twice that of a unipolar magnetizing pole. Moreover, the transformer core does not require an air gap. Therefore, the magnetic permeability of the push-pull switching power supply transformer core is many times higher than that of the transformer core of a unipolar magnetizing pole forward or reverse switching power supply. This way, the primary The number of turns of the secondary coil can be more than twice that of the primary and secondary coils of a unipolar magnetizing pole transformer. Therefore, the leakage inductance and copper resistance loss of push-pull switching power supply transformers are much smaller than those of unipolar magnetized pole transformers, so the working efficiency of switching power supply is higher.

4. The driving circuit of the push-pull switching power supply is simple.

The two switching devices of the push-pull switching power supply have a common grounding terminal, which makes the driving circuit much simpler compared to half bridge or full bridge switching power supplies.

5. Push-pull switching power supplies do not have the possibility of two control switches being connected in series at the same time as half bridge and full bridge switching power supplies.
