Application characteristics and selection of hydrogen sulfide gas detector

The hydrogen sulfide gas detector adopts imported original amperometric electrochemical sensors, usually composed of three electrodes immersed in the electrolyte. The working electrode is made by coating a metal with catalytic activity on a breathable but hydrophobic membrane. The measured gas diffuses through a porous membrane and undergoes electrochemical oxidation or reduction reactions on it. The properties of the reaction depend on the thermodynamic potential of the working electrode and the electrochemical (oxidation or reduction) properties of the analyzed gas.

Selection guide for hydrogen sulfide gas detectors

1. Applicability. The application scope of different gas detectors also varies. For example, industrial gas detectors need to comply with various national safety standards and are more complex to use. For example, gas detectors used in ordinary households are relatively simple and can generally be used by plugging in the power supply.

2. Reliability. General operators will take corresponding safety measures based on the detection data results of gas detectors. If the gas detector is unstable and there is a significant deviation in the detection results, it will directly pose a threat to the safety of personnel.

3. Stability. Anyway, the more accurate the monitoring data of the gas detector, the better. The smaller the zero offset and full amplitude offset values, the more advantageous it is.

4. Convenience. Convenience is also an important factor to consider when choosing a gas detector. For example, some construction personnel may frequently change construction locations and may need to carry gas detectors with them, making the convenience of using gas detectors particularly important.
