Application of Stereo Microscope in Welding Quality Inspection

 

With the continuous development of welding technology and the improvement of welding techniques, various industries have increasingly high requirements for welding quality. Under the impact of the 2008 financial crisis, industrial upgrading was imminent, and the inspection of welding quality was crucial for the industrial upgrading of the mechanical manufacturing industry. In response to this situation, Guangzhou Mingmei (a professional supplier of digital microscopes and digital imaging systems) developed a welding quality inspection system that meets industry standards (HB5282-1984 Quality Inspection of Structural Steel and Stainless Steel Resistance Spot Welding and Seam Welding, HB5276-1984 Quality Inspection of Aluminum Alloy Resistance Spot Welding and Seam Welding).


The welding quality inspection system is equipped with sample welding point cutting, pre grinding, polishing, chemical treatment units, microscopic imaging system (MSHOT digital microscope ME61) and planar image measurement system (Mingmei image processing software). The microscopic imaging system can be optionally equipped with imported Olympus microscope host and 5 million or 9 million pixel digital imaging system. This system can image, edit, measure, export data, and print reports on the fusion status of welded products' docking, handover, overlap, and T-shaped welding parts.


The following two microscopic images are the microscopic effect images obtained by our company using this welding quality inspection system to actually cut, photograph, and measure the products of Danjiangkou users:


Through the above two microscopic effect images, I believe everyone can clearly see the significant characteristics of this system compared to similar products: it has clear imaging, high contrast, and high accuracy.
