Application Scope and Functional Characteristics of Lux Meters

Application scope of illuminance meter
1. Application in general public places
In order to ensure that people can live under suitable lighting conditions, hygiene standards for indoor (including public places) illumination have been established, and illuminance meters are used to measure the illumination of various places.

2. Lighting production industry, photography industry, stage lighting layout, etc
Illuminance meters have been successfully applied to multiple solutions, such as the lighting industry, photography industry, stage lighting layout, etc. Different models of illuminance meters can meet different measurement requirements.

3. Application of factory production line
In factories, the lighting requirements on production lines are relatively strict, and continuous work can cause visual fatigue. Usually, the illuminance requirement is ≥ 1000Lx. For places with high illuminance requirements, a large range of illuminance meters can be selected, with a super large range that can cope with strong light illuminance measurement.

4. The application of illuminance meters is very extensive, including applications in our daily lives such as factories, warehouses, schools, offices, homes, streetlight construction, laboratories, and so on.

Functional characteristics of illuminance meter
1. Easy to use: simply connect the new sensor and the host will automatically configure it without the need to input new programs and calibration factors. The settings and algorithms of the detector are compressed in the device. The detector can be used immediately after opening the box.

2. Automatic unit conversion: The results are displayed in multiple commonly used units. Simply click the key to change the unit selection. Common units and conversion algorithms can be programmed on the detector according to requirements.

3. Anti interference capability: The signal amplification part has been made in the metal box of the detector. The signal is transmitted to the host through a cable, which has protective functions and high anti-interference ability against EMI and ESD.

4. Remote use: With a 1 or 5-meter cable, it is convenient to measure when the designated location cannot be reached. The PMA2100 model can connect two detectors simultaneously.

5. Dose synthesis: Dose synthesis can be performed remotely or through a keyboard.

6. Traceability: Each data sample has a series of auxiliary information: date, time, detector type and serial number, current unit used, user set scaling factor, detector calibration date, and a series of indicators indicating instrument status.

7. Data recording: The host memory stores an additional 1024 pieces of data. Memory can be manually started or automatically run at intervals set by the user (1-2 hours). The unified record structure is applicable to the unified data management of all detectors.

8. Computer interface: It can be connected to a computer through a serial interface (RS232) to transmit collected data. Download, display, and save data using the super terminal in the window.

9. User defined alarm: The independent alarm function of each detector can monitor instantaneous values or comprehensive measurements. The alarm settings are stored in the detector.

10. Input/Output: The instrument can control independent data input/output. Manipulate the instrument to start or stop metrological acquisition, or trigger metrological or numerical alarms through output.
