Characteristics of photoionization gas detector

The characteristics of a photoionization gas detector are introduced for various production scenarios and detection requirements. Choosing the appropriate photoionization gas detector is provided for your reference. As the general agent of DETCON Inc. products in China, Litec Technology is responsible for the comprehensive business of DETCON Inc. products in China. DETCON Inc. products: Solid metal oxide semiconductor hydrogen sulfide detector, catalytic combustible gas detector, electrochemical toxic gas detector, oxygen detector, infrared detector, photoionization gas detector, alarm control system, online gas analyzer. DETCON Inc's product after-sales service center and technical training center in China. Lit Technology is also the agent of British ion ION in China for explosion-proof volatile organic compound gas detectors. DeKang products have passed various international authoritative certifications, such as ISO9001:2000 certification, CSA certification, UL certification, EU CE certification, ATEX certification, ABS ship certification, SIL2 certification, GOST certification, explosion-proof qualification certificate, metrological certification, etc.

① Continuous sensitive measurement: PID can detect the presence of organic compounds at concentrations as low as ppm (parts per million). This has great advantages for modern petrochemicals, labor hygiene, environmental monitoring, and more.

② Fast: The response time of PID is generally less than 3 seconds, which is suitable for quick emergency needs.

③ Portable measurement: The portable gas detector is compact in size and lightweight, and can be carried to any location that requires detection. A powerful suction pump can suck up gases that are difficult for personnel to reach.

④ No need for dangerous carrier gases such as hydrogen, safe and reliable.

⑤ Wide adaptability: This includes two aspects. Firstly, it can detect the vast majority of organic compounds. Secondly, the concentration range it measures is wide, ranging from 0.1ppm to 5000ppm, and the instrument can measure with an accuracy of 0.1ppm.

⑥ Non destructive measurement: As the photoionization gas detector only ionizes organic matter, it will recombine after the organic components leave the detector. Therefore, the powerful suction pump of PID can be used for sampling bag operation to further analyze the measured samples.

⑦ Not poisoned: Unlike most other detectors or sensors, PID detectors are not damaged (poisoned) by high concentrations of analytes. Its recovery time is the same as its reaction time, only 3 seconds, so it can measure real-time concentration at any time.

⑧ Only for organic reactions: The photoionization gas detector does not react with common gases such as oxygen, carbon monoxide, chlorine, methane, etc., so it has a certain directionality in complex environments, that is, it only reacts with organic compounds.
