Classification and selection method of electric soldering iron
1. Electric soldering iron is an essential tool for electronic production and electrical maintenance. Its main purpose is to weld components and wires.
2. Type
External heat soldering iron
It consists of a soldering iron tip, a soldering iron core, a shell, a wooden handle, a power lead, a plug, etc. The soldering iron tip is installed inside the soldering iron core, so it is called an external heating type electric soldering iron.
2. Internal heating electric soldering iron
It is composed of handle, connecting rod, spring clip, soldering iron core, soldering iron tip, etc. Because the soldering iron core is installed inside the soldering iron head, it generates heat quickly and has a high heat utilization rate, so it is called an internal heating type electric soldering iron.
3. Tin-absorbing soldering iron
Tin-absorbing electric soldering iron is a desoldering tool that integrates piston-type tin suction device and electric soldering iron. It has the advantages of convenient use, flexibility, wide application range, etc., but the disadvantage is that only one solder spot can be desoldered at a time.
4. Constant temperature electric soldering iron
The constant temperature electric soldering iron is equipped with a temperature controller with a magnet in the soldering iron head of the constant temperature electric soldering iron, and the temperature control is realized by controlling the power-on time. It is used for components whose soldering temperature should not be too high and soldering time should not be too long.
5. Heat gun
The hot air gun is also called the SMD electronic component desoldering station. It is specially used for soldering and dismounting of surface mount electronic components (especially multi-pin SMD integrated circuits).
3. Selection method
1. When soldering integrated circuits, transistors and heat-sensitive components, you should first use a 20W internal heating type or a 25W external heating type electric soldering iron.
2. When welding wires and coaxial cables, you should first use a 45W-75W external heating electric soldering iron, or a 60W internal heating electric soldering iron.
3. When soldering larger components, such as the lead pins of line output transformers, the lead pins of large electrolytic capacitors, and the grounding pads of metal chassis, etc., an electric soldering iron with a power of more than 100W should be used.
