CO₂ Detector Frequently Gives False Alarms? How to Troubleshoot?

1, Check environmental factors

Ensure that the detector can operate under ideal temperature and humidity conditions, away from sources of strong light exposure and gas interference. For situations where humidity is too high, desiccants can be installed or dehumidification equipment can be activated to control it; In the face of strong light interference, measures such as installing a light shield can be taken to effectively shield it.

2, Check the equipment status

Check whether the sensor connection is stable and not loose, and regularly calibrate the sensor to maintain its high accuracy. At the same time, carefully check the power cord and battery level to ensure the stability of the power supply. In addition, it is necessary to examine whether the alarm threshold is set appropriately to prevent unnecessary false alarms caused by setting the threshold too low.

3, Perform equipment cleaning and maintenance

Regularly clean the sensor surface of the carbon dioxide detector to ensure that there is no dust or dirt adhering to it, so as not to affect its measurement accuracy. At the same time, carefully inspect the equipment casing and internal structure. Once signs of damage or looseness are found, repair or replacement should be carried out immediately to ensure stable performance of the detector.

4, Identify human operational factors

Check the operation log to confirm whether the detector has been disturbed by improper operation or setting changes. Once abnormalities are detected, it is necessary to promptly consider restoring the device to its factory settings and re executing the calibration process to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
