Coating thickness gauge upkeep and safety measures

SAUTER coating thickness gauge adopts the most advanced electronic technology, which can meet various measurement requirements. High-precision equipment, solid structure and ease of use make this instrument suitable for a wide range of applications. As long as it is used and maintained properly, it will last a long time. The instrument needs to be kept clean, do not drop it, and avoid contact with moisture, chemically corrosive substances or gases. After use, the coating thickness gauge needs to be put back into a protective and easy-to-move box. Dramatic temperature changes will affect the measurement results, so do not expose the instrument directly to strong sunlight or energy that can cause temperature fusion.

The instrument is resistant to most solvents, but it cannot be guaranteed against corrosion by very few chemicals. In this case, the only way to deal with it is to wipe the instrument with a damp, soft cloth. Accurate data can only be obtained if the probe is kept clean, so check the probe regularly and clean up any residual dirt such as varnish on the probe. When the instrument is not used for a long time, the battery should be taken out to avoid damage due to electric leakage. When something goes wrong, please do not repair it yourself, our repair department is always at your service.

Precautions for Coating Thickness Gauge

1. The measurement should be point contact, and it is strictly forbidden to slide the probe on the surface of the measured object.

The interval between each measurement should be more than a few seconds, and the instrument should be more than 10cm away from the measured object before the next measurement.

2 When entering the menu, select Unit for a short stay to enter the unit selection option. The default measurement unit is metric um (1mil=25.4um).
