Combustible gas detector installation standards and basics
A combustible gas detector is a detector that responds to the concentration of a single or multiple combustible gases. 1) Article 10.3.2 of GBJ16-87 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings" (revised in 2001) states that Class A factories and places emitting combustible gases and vapors should be equipped with combustible gas concentration leak detection and alarm devices.
2) Article 4.6.11 of GB50160-92 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises" (revised in 1999) states that combustible gas alarm probes should be installed in devices that use or produce Class A gases or Class A and Class B liquids according to the principle of combining regional control and key control.
3) Article 5.1.4 of GB50160-92 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises" (revised in 1999) states that combustible gas alarms should be installed in places where Class A gases and liquids may leak.
Some combustible gases cannot be detected when they spread into the environment, especially in small amounts.
