Common faults and troubleshooting methods for the stereomicroscope
Focusing: Place the workbench into the mounting hole on the base. When observing transparent specimens, use a ground glass tabletop; When observing opaque specimens, use a black and white table. Then loosen the fastening screws on the focusing slide and adjust the height of the mirror body to a working distance that is roughly consistent with the selected objective lens magnification. After adjustment, tighten the fastening screws. When focusing, it is recommended to choose a flat object, such as a flat paper with characters printed on it, a ruler, a triangle, etc. Visual adjustment: First, adjust the visual circles on both the left and right eyepiece tubes to the 0 mark position. Usually, observe from the right lens tube first.
Turn the zoom handwheel to the lowest magnification position, rotate the focusing handwheel and the visual adjustment circle to adjust the specimen until the image of the specimen is clear. Then, turn the zoom handwheel to the highest magnification position to continue adjusting until the image of the specimen is clear. At this time, observe with the left lens tube. If it is not clear, adjust the visual circle on the left lens tube axially until the image of the specimen is clear.
Stereoscopic microscopy is widely used in various sectors of industry, agriculture, and scientific research due to its numerous advantages. If there are any problems during use, they can be resolved according to the actual situation. According to actual usage, common faults include blurred field of view or dirt. Possible causes include dirt on the specimen, dirt on the surface of the eyepiece, dirt on the surface of the objective lens, and dirt on the surface of the workboard.
According to the actual situation, clean the dirt on the surface of the specimen, eyepiece, objective lens, and workboard to solve the problem. The possible reason for non coincidence of the two images is incorrect adjustment of the pupil distance. Measures can be taken to correct the pupil distance. Non coincidence of the two images may also be due to incorrect adjustment of the visual acuity, which can be re adjusted. It is also possible that the magnification of the left and right eyepieces is different. Check the eyepieces and reinstall them with the same magnification. If the image is unclear, it may be due to dirt on the surface of the objective lens. Please clean the objective lens. If the image is not clear when zooming, it may be due to incorrect visual adjustment and focusing. You can adjust the visual angle and focus again. If the light bulb frequently burns out and the light flickers intermittently, it may be due to the local line voltage being too high, the light bulb is about to burn out, and the wire connection is poor. Please carefully check whether the voltage and the wire connection of the microscope are firm. If not, it may be because the light bulb is about to burn out and can be replaced to solve the problem. The pre use calibration of a stereo microscope mainly includes several steps: focusing, visual acuity adjustment, pupil distance adjustment, and bulb replacement. Below are explanations for each.
Pupil distance adjustment: Pulling the binocular lens can change the distance between the exit pupils of the binocular lens.
When the user observes that the two circular fields of view completely overlap, it indicates that the pupil distance has been adjusted. It should be noted that due to individual differences in vision and eye adjustment, different users or even the same user should perform autofocus adjustments separately when using the same stereo microscope at different times, in order to achieve better observation results. Whether replacing the upper light bulb or the lower light bulb, make sure to turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord from the power socket before replacing.
When replacing the upper light source bulb, first unscrew the knurled screw of the upper light source lightbox, remove the lightbox, then remove the faulty bulb from the lamp holder, replace the good bulb, and then install the lightbox and knurled screw. When replacing the light source bulb, it is necessary to remove the ground glass or black and white table from the base, then remove the faulty bulb from the lamp holder and replace it with a good one; Then install the frosted glass or black and white tabletop. When replacing a light bulb, please wipe the bulb glass with a clean soft cloth or cotton yarn to ensure the lighting effect.
