Comparison of domestic microscopes and imported microscopes

Generally speaking, the differences between domestic microscopes and imported microscopes are as follows:
1. Price. Domestic microscopes are cheap, generally ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands. They are more suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with low inspection requirements and limited equipment funds. Imported microscopes usually cost from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. The price varies greatly due to different manufacturers and models. They are mainly used by medium and large enterprises with high inspection requirements and sufficient purchasing funds.

2. Product quality. Although domestic equipment is still developing and improving, the gap between product quality and technology and foreign imports is still very large. I personally think that it will be impossible to catch up in the short term.

3. Optical system: Most domestic microscopes use finite-distance optical systems, so the functions of the products are relatively simple. Some products use infinity optical systems, but the related technology is not very mature yet. Imported manufacturers use infinity optical systems, among which the ICCS optical system of German Zeiss is the most advanced.

4. Objective lenses. The objective lenses of domestic microscopes mostly use achromatic objectives. The field of view of the objective lens is relatively small, the image contrast is relatively poor, and the color reproduction is not very good. The magnification of the objective lens can reach up to 40 times, and the 100x objective lenses are mostly oil lenses. The objectives of imported microscope manufacturers are mostly divided into achromatic objectives, semi-apochromatic objectives and apochromatic objectives. The latest objective lens technology is EC contrast-enhanced objective lenses. The field of view of the objective lens is much larger than that of domestic objective lenses, and the imaging quality and contrast are excellent. The objective lens magnification can reach up to 100 times.

5. Mechanical stability. The overall workmanship of domestic microscopes is relatively rough, and mechanical failure is high. Especially after a few years of use, the overall performance of the equipment drops significantly, and the service life is 2-5 years (life is related to the frequency of use and maintenance) . Imported microscopes have relatively fine workmanship, stable mechanical properties, and a service life of more than 5 years.
