Correct use and maintenance of high voltage electroscope
It is mainly used to test high-voltage electrical equipment whose ground voltage is above 250V. At present, three types are widely used: luminous type, sound and light type, and windmill type. They are generally composed of three parts: detection part (indicator part or windmill), insulation part and handshake part. The insulating part refers to the part from the metal connecting screw at the lower part of the indicator to the end of the cover guard ring, and the handle part refers to the part below the cover guard ring. Among them, the insulation part and the handshake part have different lengths according to different voltage levels.
When using a high-voltage electroscope for electrical inspection, first of all, the operation monitoring system must be carefully implemented, with one person operating and one person monitoring. The operator is in the front and the guardian is in the back. When using the electroscope, it must be noted that its rated voltage should be compatible with the voltage level of the electrical equipment under test, otherwise it may endanger the personal safety of the operator or cause misjudgment.
During the electricity inspection, the operator must wear insulating gloves and insulating boots to prevent the damage to the human body caused by the step voltage or contact voltage. The operator should hold the handshake part below the guard ring and check it on the powered equipment first. During inspection, the electrified equipment should be gradually moved closer to light or sound to verify the integrity of the electroscope. Then test it on the equipment that needs to be tested. When testing the electricity of multi-layer lines erected on the same pole, the low voltage should be checked first, the high voltage should be checked after, the lower layer should be checked first, and the upper layer should be checked first.
Note that before using a high-voltage test pen to test electricity, be sure to read the instruction manual carefully to check whether the test is over-period, whether the appearance is damaged or damaged. For example, when the GDY type high-voltage electric wind electroscope is taken out of the bag, first observe whether the electric rotation indicator blade is off-axis, and whether the alarm sounds. Shake, the blade should swing slightly, which proves good, and then check the alarm part to prove that the sound is good. For the GSY series high-voltage acousto-optic electroscope, the indicator should be self-tested before operation, so that the indicator can be rotated and fixed on the operating rod, and the operating rod can be stretched to the specified length, and then the self-test can be carried out again. . Note that high-voltage electroscopes cannot detect DC voltages.
During storage and transportation, do not make it strongly vibrated or impacted. It is not allowed to adjust and disassemble it without authorization. It must not be used in any environment that affects the insulation performance such as rain and snow. Do not expose it to the sun in the open air. It should be stored in a dry and ventilated place. Do not wipe or touch it with corrosive chemical solvents and detergents.
