DC Regulated Power Supplies Develop towards High Precision

(1) Voltage Regulation Rate \(S_V\)

As a key indicator evaluating the voltage stabilization performance of DC regulated power supplies, it is also known as voltage stabilization coefficient. It reflects the stability of output voltage \(V_O\) against variations in input voltage \(V_I\), generally expressed as the percentage of relative variation between input and output voltage per unit output voltage. Relevant calculation formula is available for voltage regulation rate.

(2) Current Regulation Rate \(S_I\)

It is a core parameter representing the load capacity of DC regulated power supplies, also called current stability coefficient. With constant input voltage, it indicates the capability to restrain output voltage fluctuation caused by changes in load current (output current). Under specified load current variation conditions, it is usually presented as the percentage of output voltage variation per unit output voltage. Relevant calculation formula is available for current regulation rate.

(3) Ripple Rejection Ratio \(S_R\)

This parameter shows the suppression capability of DC regulated power supplies against mains voltage ripple at the input end. Under fixed input and output operating conditions, it is defined as the ratio of peak-to-peak input ripple voltage to peak-to-peak output ripple voltage. It is commonly measured in decibels, and can also be expressed in percentage or direct numerical ratio.

(4) Temperature Stability Coefficient K

For integrated DC regulated power supplies, temperature stability refers to the percentage of relative change in output voltage within the specified maximum operating temperature range \((T_{min}\leq T_i\leq T_{max})\). Relevant calculation formula is available for temperature stability.
