The parameters of the voltage regulator include voltage stability, ripple coefficient and response speed. The former represents the effect of changes in the input voltage on the output voltage. The ripple factor indicates the magnitude of the AC component in the output voltage under rated operating conditions; the latter indicates the time it takes for the voltage to return to its normal value when the input voltage or load changes sharply. The DC regulated power supply is divided into two types: continuous conduction type and switching type. In the former, the single-phase or three-phase AC voltage is changed to an appropriate value by the power frequency transformer, and then rectified and filtered to obtain an unstable DC power supply, and then a stable voltage (or current) is obtained through a voltage regulator circuit. This kind of power supply circuit is simple, small in ripple, and small in mutual interference, but it is large in size, many consumables, and low in efficiency (often lower than 40% to 60%). The latter adjusts the output voltage by changing the on-off time ratio of the adjusting element (or switch) to achieve regulation. ③Converter type.
