Description of the structure of the universal surface panel
The panel layout of various analog multimeters is not exactly the same. The panel structure of the analog multimeter generally includes a scale, a range selection switch, a mechanical zero adjustment knob, an ohm gear zero adjustment knob, and a jack or terminal for wiring.

The external panel of the instrument consists of five parts, and the functions of each part are as follows:
(1) Scale: Displays various measured values and ranges.
(2) Range selection switch: switch between different ranges and physical quantities according to specific conditions.
(3) Mechanical zero adjustment knob: used to calibrate the mechanical zero of the pointer.
(4) Ohm range zero adjustment knob: used for electrical zero adjustment.
(5) Jack or terminal: used for external test probe.
