Difference between Digital Microscope and Ordinary Microscope
Digital microscope is also called digital microscope, photographic microscope, camera microscope/video microscope or CCD microscope. Digital microscope is a kind of microscope that combines traditional optical microscope and video lens, that is, a microscopic imaging device, which can be a digital camera or a microscopic camera, is added to the ordinary optical microscope. It is to convert the physical image seen by the microscope into a digital-to-analog image on the computer. Digital microscope is a high-tech product successfully developed by combining elite optical microscope technology, advanced photoelectric conversion technology and ordinary TV set. Therefore, we can study the microscopic field from the traditional ordinary binocular observation to the reproduction on the display, thus improving the work efficiency. Mainly used for teaching purposes.
The main advantages of digital microscope are that the traditional optical microscope can only be used by one person, so it is difficult to share the images of the microscope, and special instruments are often needed to shoot the images in the microscope. However, because the digital microscope can be connected to the computer, the video in the microscope can be played through the projector connected to the classroom, so that students in the classroom can watch the images together, which is also helpful to the management of classroom order.
Digital microscope can reduce eye fatigue, shoot and save the observed scenes. But also can realize low cost and meet the requirement of simultaneous preview by multiple people. It can also realize multi-functions such as measuring, printing and taking pictures.
There are six major differences between digital microscope and ordinary microscope:
1. With the function of micro-camera, the observed microscopic effect is preserved to form a graphic file, which can be circulated to relevant departments; Ordinary microscopes can only observe through eyepieces, and can't take microscopic pictures.
2. Connecting with a computer can realize simultaneous observation by many people; Ordinary microscope can only be observed by one person.
3. Through computer screen preview, eye fatigue can be reduced; Ordinary microscopes need to observe through the eyepiece all the time, which is easy to cause excessive eye fatigue.
4. The imaging device of digital microscope can have the functions of measuring, printing graphic reports, video recording, etc. Ordinary microscopes can only perform microscopic observation.
Digital microscope is a new era of the development of modern scientific instruments and meters, which has many functions that ordinary microscope does not have. It has developed rapidly in scientific research, product testing, teaching demonstration, archaeology and so on.
