Difference Between Metallurgical Microscope and Stereo Microscope
Sound card rack and zoom organization
1. The sound card frame of a metallographic microscope is generally very large, but because the metallographic microscope is used for high-magnification inspection, the size of the sample it can place is generally relatively small, and it is generally required that the surface of the sample is relatively flat and needs to be polished and polished. Etching, in addition to the inversion metallographic microscope, although samples must be prepared, there are almost no restrictions on the specifications of the samples. A good inversion metallographic microscope can accommodate a variety of samples of about 10kg. In addition, the zoom structure of the upright metallographic microscope is to adjust the goniometer (there are also a very small number of upright optical microscopes and measuring microscopes that use unique accessories to adjust the objective lens), and the inverted metallographic zoom structure is to adjust the objective lens.
2. The size of the sound card rack of the stereomicroscope is generally relatively small, but if it is combined with a large-capacity mobile sound card rack, it can inspect samples of different sizes, including direct inspection of products on the production line, so it has requirements for the sample. It is very low, and there is no need for professional sample preparation, as long as the surface of the sample is approximately flat. Since the stereo mirror is relatively light, the zoom method of the stereo microscope generally involves adjusting the entire optical path.
Stereo optical microscope
Increase the magnification
1. The magnification factor of the objective lens of a metallographic microscope is between 1.25x and less than 100x, and the magnification factor of the eyepiece is between 10X and 20X. Therefore, the total magnification factor of a metallographic microscope is between 12.5X and 2000x.
2. The magnification of stereo microscopes varies greatly. If it is a stereo microscope used for general inspection, the magnification is generally between 0.5 times and 100 times. If it is a scientific research-grade optical microscope, while improving the optical quality, The magnification rate will also be increased to about 200 times to 400 times.
Lighting light path system software
1. Metallographic microscopes generally use professional refracted light illumination light paths (because the specimen being observed is not completely transparent), and the illuminating light illuminates the surface of the specimen through the semi-reflective lens and the objective lens, and then passes through the reflective surface. The objective lens and eyepiece then form a three-dimensional image in the human eye, so the objective lens replaces the function of the condenser in the Jomoo lighting system. From a basic principle point of view, this type of lighting belongs to coaxial lighting, that is, both illumination light and refracted light are in one main light path.
2. Stereoscopic microscopes generally use external light sources. There are side halogen headlights for diffuse illumination and round LED lights for illumination. However, these lighting methods are not coaxial illumination. Their illumination light is diffused from the side. , has a certain intersection angle with the main optical axis, and its basic principle is somewhat similar to the dark field illumination of a metallographic microscope. In addition, some stereo microscopes also have coaxial lighting sources, but the coaxial lighting of stereoscopic mirrors has certain limitations. If the design is unreasonable, glare will occur, which requires the addition of special accessories or Spectacle lens removal
